Change coming for diabetes testing supplies

Nov 14, 2025, 00:18 AM

If you are a member that lives with diabetes, there are some upcoming changes to testing supplies that you need to know about.

Starting January 1, 2026, Jackson Care Connect will no longer cover OneTouch Test Strips/Meters when you get them from a pharmacy. If you use this brand, you will need to switch to another before this date.

Below are some preferred diabetes monitors and test strips that you can use instead.

  • FreeStyle, FreeStyle Lite, and FreeStyle Precision Meter/Test Strips
  • TrueMetrix Meter/Test Strips

Work with your doctor to choose the option that is best for you. They can send your new prescription to your usual pharmacy. These new meters will be covered at no charge to you, so long as you use a network pharmacy.

Please note: You do not have to wait until January 1, 2026. You can switch at any time prior to this date.

If you have any questions or concerns, we’re here to help you. Please call us at:
